The Official Thanksgiving Box fundraiser will start November 2nd

We have set aside a special day on Nov 20 st 2021 when we can all honor “Sandy May Basket of Blessing”

Christmas Boxes will start December 1 st

The date we saved to honor “Texas Security Holiday Hams” is on Dec 18th 2021

Due to the pandemic, this year’s events will be conducted as drive thru only for families during the week of the title honor.

    • We will ask donors to provide $50 to go towards purchasing a holiday box for families
    • SOH Goal: $50,000, which will be matched by our co-sponsors

JOIN OR CONTINUE THE HOLIDAY BASKET TRADITION

Be a part of the Sandy May Basket of Blessing giving back event of 2020. We are joining forces with O’Neil Wysocki, P.C and Texas Security Bank and Mockingbird Community Church, for our annual Thanksgiving Basket. This will be our 1st year SUPER CHARGING our efforts with these partners. In addition to delivering Thanksgiving Baskets to families in need, we will also be delivering a weeks’ worth of groceries to families that are in crisis from the COVID-19.

10 STEPS TO CREATING A GREAT THANKSGIVING

  • Step 1: Gather your family and friends. Be sure to involve the kids – this is a great teaching moment!
  • Step 2: Go shopping. Here are some suggested items. **Do not include anything that could crush easily or spoil, be aware of perishable items in your basket or Canvas Bag.
    • 1 Laundry Basket or Large Canvas bag.
    • $25 Gift card for a turkey or ham or other perishable food for each Bag or basket. (Walmart, Kroger, etc.)
    • 1 Baking/Roasting Pan
    • Boxes: Macaroni & Cheese or Stuffing (2)
    • Boxes/Bags: Pinto Beans, Rice or Mashed Potatoes (2)
    • Canned Vegetables Canned Green Beans, Corn, Yams, etc. (4)
    • Canned Cranberry Sauce, Applesauce or Fruit (2)
    • Can or Packet of Gravy Mix (2)
    • Green Bean Casserole: Canned Green Beans, Canned Cream of Mushroom Soup, Canned Dried Onion Strings Oil , seasoning (2)
    • Rolls
    • Dessert – Cake Mix, Cookies, Brownie Mix or Pies
  • Step 3: Add your special touches: Cards (Sign from a Friend), favorite snacks, Coloring Books, Crayons, Special family recipe, add your favorite Thanksgiving food or paper goods etc.
  • Step 4: Decorate your basket! Have fun & be creative.
  • Step 5: Drop off your basket or Bag by the November 20, 2020 deadline for delivery, or call for pickup or drop off in church Lobby.
  • Step 6: Tell your children or Neighbor how someone will have a meal on Thanksgiving with this basket. They may want to create one too.
  • Step 7: Come to volunteer at event and meet someone new.
  • Step 8: To Whom much is Given, Much is Required
  • Step 9: Be Grateful
  • Step 10: CELEBRATE!!!!
