Sandy May believed in service. She lived her entire life in service – service to her family, service to God, and service to others. When she met Daniel Prescott, it was like she found a kindred spirit. They recognized in each other a love of service. Daniel wasted no time in putting Ms. Sandy to work with Services of Hope. Ms. Sandy loved to cook and definitely nurtured through food. If there was ever a time where someone needed feeding, she was there. That’s how she came to be involved in the Thanksgiving Baskets of Blessings. The first year of the Thanksgiving celebration, Ms. Sandy orchestrated providing hot meals to many families, in the Services of Hope facility. When the project turned to providing baskets of food to prepare at home, she took up the cause of making sure every family had fresh vegetables to eat as well. She made called and persuaded a fresh vegetables wholesale company to donate enough fresh vegetables to include in each family’s basket. Even after Ms. Sandy passed, the project has continued in her name. No doubt she is smiling down on us from Heaven every Thanksgiving.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude and give special thanks to the O’Neil Wysocki, P.C law firm and Texas Security Bank for their generous support during the holiday season here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by agreeing to partner with Services of Hope to provide a unique joint holiday fundraising opportunity in support of all the families impacted this year by COVID-19.
Be a part of the Sandy May Basket of Blessing giving back event of 2020. We are joining forces with O’Neil Wysocki, P.C and Texas Security Bank and Mockingbird Community Church, for our annual Thanksgiving Basket. This will be our 1st year SUPER CHARGING our efforts with these partners.
