Eric Irivuzumugabe a Rwandan, survived the 1994 Rwanda genocide. He is a strong believer and has written a book about his experience titled, "My Father, Maker of the Trees”.
Eric survived the genocide by living in a cypress tree for 2 weeks. He has a ministry to widows and orphans and works in many villages, organizing relief efforts. The genocide, although 25 years ago, still feels like yesterday to many.
Humura for Africa (HFA) is a ministry that teaches about forgiveness and reconciliation. This charitable organization provides a way for persons or organizations to provide support, with a tax deductible receipt. This was a challenge Eric had, as he had visited the states and communicated the opportunities.
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
