Ben & Kayte Musselman

Ben and Kayte met in 2004 while serving with Youth with a Mission (YWAM). They married in 2005 and moved to Thailand that same year. While in Thailand, Ben ministered in the slums, building houses, church-planting, and using friendship evangelism to build community. At the same time, Kayte worked in the YWAM national office, caring for the many teams that came to Thailand, as well as leading Discipleship Training School (DTS) outreaches in Thailand and Vietnam. It was during their time of service in Thailand that their oldest child Darci was born.

In 2009, the Musselmans felt led by God to move back to the United States to continue to grow their family. Their second child, Azelle, was born in 2010, and Ben and Kayte began an adoption from Africa in 2011. Their youngest two children, twins Jean and Jeannine, officially joined the Musselman family in 2015, three years after they were born.

Both Ben and Kayte feel that they were born to be missionaries, ever since they were young and new believers. They have served in China, Cambodia, Russia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Laos, and Burma, but have felt called back to Thailand. Since living in Thailand twelve years ago, Ben and Kayte have had a heart for those impacted by the sex-trafficking pandemic. They chose to serve with ZOE because they were inspired by the restoration they witnessed while visiting the ZOE campus in 2016. Both Ben and Kayte desire to bring Jesus’ hope to the broken by sharing how God has redeemed their own brokenness, and trust that the LORD will continue to bring beauty from ashes as they serve with ZOE.
